Welcome to UniLearningThis site contains a comprehensive range of interactive learning resources on the many different writing and study skills required at university. The topics covered include effective writing at a university level; academic writing; essay writing; report writing; note-taking; critical thinking and the punctuation and grammar of writing sentences. We feel this site will be most useful for university students of all levels, although, it will also be beneficial for teachers and secondary students. This site can function as a point of reference to find information on specific academic skills or you may wish to use it as a tutorial and work your way gradually through all the resources. The site offers many interactive activities to help you practise and develop the skills you are learning about. These activities are assessed immediately and feedback is provided to help direct your learning. Additional assistance with faculty specific writing and study skills is available through the Learning Development Showcase of projects and resources.
Navigating the UniLearning siteNavigation within the UniLearning site is simple. After choosing your initial destination from the main menu, the tools contained in the title bar at the top of each page in the site will allow you to navigate to anywhere else in the site (see Figure 1).
Links to activities and other relevant information pages are also provided on individual pages within the site. The content covered by the UniLearning site is organised into modules. Each module is divided into units that contain several topics. The title bar at the top of each page also contains information on the topic you are exploring and how it fits into the module and unit structure of the site (see Figure 2).
