Using Words in Academic Writing

This unit has identified the types of words that are used in academic writing; how to choose these words; using technical & specialist vocabulary in your writing; how to convert more personal language to the impersonal language required by academic language as well as what types of language to avoid in academic writing.

Academic conventions and structures are also used to facilitate the development of an academic tone in your writing.
